I teach at Tsurumi University, Yokohama, Japan. I've never been to West Oz, or even East Oz, but count the Administrator a friend, having worked with him years ago. Together we played guitar at my wedding, many, many years ago. Now, my wife and I have two boys, and we live in Isehara, Kanagawa. I also do a lot of literature research: James Joyce and Medieval Eng. Lit.

Good music, literature, wine, talking rubbish.

War. Anything with the words Dick Cheney (etc..)in it. Also, recently, earthquakes are more than a little unsettling. So sorry for what happened in the Tohoku region of Japan. And, then there's that very nasty technology of nuclear power. Here's hoping some day all such plants are disposed of. Hell, if I have to, I'll play only acoustic guitar!

Astronomy. Playing football with the kids. Cooking (tacos, spaghetti etc...) Oh, and movies! Lots. Bit mad about sci-fi, and I'm a Trekkie and proud of it. And poetry. I have a habit from when I was very young of putting pen to paper when the notion took me. Doing a lot of running recently.
