Miles Away is a beautifully crafted song taken from the album "Personality - One Was a Spider, One Was a Bird", the second album by The Sleepy Jackson, released in July 2006.
The Sleepy Jackson is an alternative rock band originally from Perth, Western Australia whose name was inspired by a former drummer who had a chronic sleeping disorder. The band is fronted by singer and songwriter Luke Steele who comes from a very musical family. His father Rick Steele is a local blues musician, his brother Jesse a former member of The Sleepy Jackson and sister Katy lead singer of another Perth rock band, Little Birdy. The release of The Sleepy Jackson's 2003 album Lovers and 2006 album Personality - One Was a Spider, One Was a Bird paved the way for a lot of international interest in the band.
